

Gerald Faircloth, 86, passed away on February 5, 2020 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born in Cairo, GA on April 17, 1933 to Ruby and Elvin Faircloth. He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Business and was a founding member of Lambda Chi Alpha. Following graduation, he served his country in the Army. Jerry worked many years in the food industry and finished out his career as the President of Sysco Food Services Jacksonville.
Jerry was a huge supporter of his community throughout his entire life. He was an active member of Riverside Presbyterian Church as an Elder, Deacon, Trustee, Usher, Sunday school teacher, and board member of the Logos Program. He also served on the boards of Riverside Presbyterian Day School, Episcopal High School, and was the President of the board of The Bartram School. He was a patron for The Children's Home Society and Wolfson Children's Hospital.
Jerry loved many things in his life such as his farm in Virginia, the Arts, his many dachshunds, and most importantly his family. Jerry is survived by his loving wife Betsy Faircloth of 61 years, his children Marshall Faircloth, Rebecca and Andy McNeil, and his grandchildren Leah and Jared McNeil. Gerald Faircloth known by many as Uncle Jerry, Boss Man, Mr. Faircloth, Uncle Sharky and most importantly Big Daddy will be deeply missed.
His life will be celebrated at 11am Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Riverside Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riverside Presbyterian Church.
