Gerald Singleton

Gerald ( Jerry ) Singleton 66 of ( Springfield) Jacksonville Florida was welcomed Home to be with the Lord on Friday Jan 11th and received his Robe and Crown. He passed from this life to Glory in a brave and dignified manner with Loved ones and a Loyal friend at his side.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Patricia Singleton, Children: Anne Ray, Denny Singleton , Greg Singleton, Grandchildren Michael, Nicky, ,Josh ,Drew and Thorpe, his Step Children Randy DuBose, Lisa Schnaak, Step grandchildren Morgan, Roman ,& Coleman, Step Great Grandchild Ryder, Sisters Verna Cloud and Carolyn McKinley, and his cherished Pets: Bear, Louie and Kirby ( dogs) Gus and dirtwad ( Cats).

Jerry was the Business Manager of local 669 until his retirement and leaves behind his Union Family which he considered his Brothers and sisters, who played a most important part in his life.

Jerry lived his later years in Florida, enjoying and restoring the Historic District of Springfield which was so dear to his heart. Jerry loved and was loved by dear Friends and caring neighbors.

In Honor of Jerry's wishes he will be cremated and be placed on the mantel at home with his beloved Jackson and buried along with Patsy and Jackson at a later time.

Plans for a Celebration of Jerry’s Life and Memorial Service are pending and will be announced at a later date.
