Gloria Marie Dent

Gloria grew up and lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Fl. She was the love of her husband's (Bobby Franklin Dent) life for 66 years, wonderful mother of two: Teresa Ann Knight (Gerald Scott Knight, husband} and Vickie Darlene Dent Nelson (deceased). She retired from American Heritage Life Insurance Company. After retiring, her grandchildren gave her great joy. She was the grandmother of two: Brian Scott Knight {Jennifer) and Devin Franklin Knight (Erin), and great-grandmother of seven; Colton, Liam, Camille, John, Collin, Justin, and Lana.

She is also survived by her brother and sisters: Bill Crawford, Dot Hill, and Diane Bell. Her brother Robert Crawford is deceased.

She loved God and her church, First Baptist of Jacksonville. She was in a leadership role in her Sunday School for years and was a living example of Christ discipleship.

She had a love for writing poetry especially to her father. She could inspire and touch you with her inspirational messages on cards.

She loved to shop and could find the best sales at every store. She died very peacefully and is now looking for those sales in heaven.

The visitation is from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 26,2016 at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home Edgewood Avenue, 729 Edgewood Ave. South, Jacksonville FL 32205. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM. Reverend Murphy will be officiating. The burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery following the service, 4535 Main Street North, Jacksonville FL 32206.
