

Born in Jacksonville on July 5, 1929, to Ben and Nettye Yoffee, he graduated from Landon Junior-Senior High School, Tulane University, and Tulane Medical College, and was a physician in private practice, associated with Baptist Medical Center for 40 years. He also served in the navy as a Lieutenant, Junior Grade, assigned to the Norfolk Naval Station, VA, from 1955-57. In later years, he translated his passions for the stock market and the history of British royalty into popular classes he taught at OLLI at UNF.
Wed in 1955 to Barbara “Bobbi” Yoffee, originally from Morganton, NC, they were married for 51 years, until her passing in 2006 at age 71. They traveled extensively, enjoyed collecting antiques and nutcrackers, and were known for their hospitality, warmth, and kindness. They had three children.
Dr. Yoffee’s immediate survivors include son David and his wife Randi, of Altamonte Springs, FL, and their daughter Erin, who is enrolled at Florida State University; daughter Susan, of West Palm Beach, FL; daughter Lisa and her husband Steven Samuels, of Asheville, NC, and their daughter Samantha, a student at Sarah Lawrence College; and sister Ina Perlman, of Houston, TX. He was also delighted to be called “Uncle Harry” by Suzy and Bob Shapiro; Allison and Harold McIntyre (and Gianna, Dominic, and Leilani); Jonathan and Britt Nemeth Shapiro; Brett and Cindy Perlman (and Brian, Hallie, and Drew); and Andy and Laura Perlman (and Alex and Zach).
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 5th in Temple Cemetery (Temple Gate), 4535 Main Street, Jacksonville with Rabbi Robert Goodman and Cantor Carrie Barry as Officiants.

Before he died, Harry voted. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you cast your ballot this year.
