Henry A. Oberndorfer, 77, of Jacksonville, FL, most beloved husband, brother, uncle, son, and friend, passed away September 27, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Linda; his sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and W.G. Watts; and his niece Danielle Montalbano.
Henry graduated with honors from Brooklyn Polytech and worked as an engineer for over 45 years, most recently with Wilson & Associates.
With all his many gifts and talents, he always had true humility. Henry could fix or make almost anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed and excelled in snow skiing, gymnastics, sailing, windsurfing, archery, model boat building and playing the accordion.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5 pm Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223. A gathering of family and friends will start at 4 pm.
