A true visionary, Herschel possessed an extraordinary talent for both art and music. His creative spirit was expressed through his beautiful sketches, paintings, and sculptures, as well as his guitar playing, songwriting, and singing. Those who had the privilege of knowing him were inspired by his warm heart, strength, and grace.
Herschel was a devoted and adoring husband whose attentiveness and love extended to all his family and friends. Whether sitting and drawing with his granddaughter or fixing things around the house with his nephew, Herschel loved spending quality time with his family and sharing in the activities that they enjoyed.
Herschel was also an especially thoughtful gift giver. He always strove to give meaningful personalized gifts to his family members. He created a stunning painting of his stepdaughter’s favorite vacation spot and made movies, special playlists, and drawings, often to give for no other reason than to see a loved one smile.
Herschel’s creativity, kindness, and generosity made an indelible impression on all whose lives he touched. May the memory of him always serve as a source of comfort and inspiration to all those who miss him.
Herschel is predeceased by his parents Greta Faye Terrell Wright and James D. Wright Sr.; brother James D. Wright, Jr.; and nephews Billy Shane Barnes and Jerred Wright.
Herschel is survived by his wife Sharon; stepdaughters Whitney (Tommy) Baldwin and Shelby (Carine Carmack) Vaughan; granddaughter Sydney Baldwin; sisters Greta Maria and Sarah K. (Billy) Barnes; brother Paul (Angela) Wright; nephews Brady Geoghagan, Glenn Wright, Daniel Wright, and Isaac Mitropoulos; and nieces Anna Rogers, Stephanie (Walt) Love, and Danene (Dakota) Keith.
