COTHERN Hubert Lee Cothern, Sr.,84, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2012 in Jacksonville. He was born August 17, 1927 in Alma, Georgia to E. D. Cothern and Minnie Moore Cothern. He moved to Jacksonville over 62 years ago and was retired from Carolina Freight with over 34 years and was a longtime Teamster Member. Mr. Cothern was an avid fisherman and truly loved attending his church, Shepherd's Fold Church of God. Survivor's include his devoted Wife of 65 years, Doris Starling Cothern; 3 Daughters, Linda Hutchinson, Jana McKinnon (Gene) and Kathy Highsmith (Grover); a Son, Hubert L. "Buddy" Cothern, Jr.; (Pam); 4 Sisters, Faye Jarrard, Lucille Johnson, Helen McCardle and Nancy Lamb; a Brother, Grady Cothern; 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces, Nephews and loving friends. Funeral services will be in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012 with Rev. Eddie A. Watson, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home.
