

Brim, J. David 78, passed away after a lengthy illness on July 16, 2011. David was born on May 9, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Bradley University on a swimming scholarship and, while there, qualified for the Olympic Trials. He was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity, Gamma Epsilon Chapter, and received his degree in civil engineering. David worked for many companies including Rockwell International. He had several patents for products that were utilized by Rockwell, Sears, and others. David met and married his wife, Lynn, while in Chicago, and upon his retirement from Rockwell, they moved to Jacksonville. David is survived by his wife, Lynn, step children Tim, Dennis, and Daniel ODonnell, Colleen Borchert (Scott), Leslie Glock (Rick), grandchildren Michael Glock and Sabrina Harry, and a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, and friends. David was a good friend to all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates your donation to the American Cancer Society. The family would also like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at Baptist Medical Center South, Brooks Hospital, and Life Care for their compassionate care of David.
