He was born on 01/20/2002, left us on 12/05/2016. He has gone to join his Grandpa Glenn William Bumpus, his Grandmommy Jeannine Durbec and big sister Lydia Star in heaven. Jack Allen is survived by his Grandad Jack Allison Durbec whom he was named after, his Grandma Patricia Irean (Kirchoff) Bumpus, parents Patrick and Julie Bumpus, sisters Ashley and Julie, as well as countless aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a silly and fun loving kid who enjoyed being around family and doing the things he loved with them. Jack Allen was very well loved by the people around him and had many friends in school and his football team, the Cornerstone Cougars.
He loved collecting model cars, motorcycles, BB guns and fancy knives. Jack Allen greatly enjoyed playing his Xbox games in online teams with his friends and cousins Mathew and Michael. He was always very competitive with others. He loved Marvel and DC comics, his favorite characters being Spiderman and Batman. Watching movies with his family was one of his favorite things to do. Jack Allen said that movie night was never as much fun as it was when his Aunt Mary Ellen, nicknamed Aunt Meonie, was there to watch with them. Aunt Meonie would also get him in trouble by throwing the ball in the house with him. He loved playing basketball and even catching Pokémon on Pokémon Go to proudly show his Aunt Meonie.
Both he and his cousin Mathew shared the same favorite colors, orange and black. Jack Allen loved his dogs Daisy May and Rusty. Rusty slept with him every night and took up the whole bed. His little sis Julie lovingly referred to him as her big fat teddy bear.
If given the choice between food and milk, Jack Allen was known to choose milk. One year for Christmas, Jack Allen asked his mother what he was getting for Christmas. She jokingly said “Didn’t your daddy tell you were getting you a cow?” To which Jack Allen excitedly replied, “Really?! Cool!” She told him it was a joke and he said, “Aw man that would’ve been an awesome Christmas present.” In another instance, his mother had seen his report card from Bible school and asked him, “How come you can get all A’s in Bible class but all C’s in regular classes?” Jack Allen replied, “Do you really think God’s gonna care if I can count when I die?”
At school, Jack Allen would sell his lunch on several occasions. He said that was his only way of making money. He would then use some of that money to help others buy lunch, because they couldn’t. Jack Allen would ask for 1 dollar bills hold them in his hand and tell his mom he was a gangster.
One day at Aunt Karen & Uncle Mike’s house Jack Allen was in a bad mood. Josh got him to laugh and then they enjoyed playing video games together. That’s a good memory! At home he asks his mom, “Mom why can’t you be more like Aunt Karen she so sweet she is like Mary Poppins.”
May God Bless You Jack Allen We Love You & Miss You!
