

HOFFMAN--Jack Hoffman, 90, of Jacksonville and Holiday, Florida passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 surrounded by his family. Jack was born on August 10, 1926 in Newark, NJ to Henry and Margaret Hoffman. Jack served his Country in WW II and Korea in the U.S. Navy and Armed Guard. Jack was Past Commander and life-member of the American Legion Post #278 Stanhope, NJ and Bangor, PA and VFW Post #2347 Netcong, NJ. Jack married Catherine Doris Cryan on August 19, 1950 and they had 8 children. Jack is survived by three Sons, Michael of Odessa, FL, David and (Tammy Jo) from Jacksonville, FL and Jack and (Marion) of Berlin, NH; four Daughters, Catherine and (Companion, Craig Maas) of New Port Richey, FL, Dorothy and (Hank) Riger of Budd Lake, NJ, Audrey and (Alan) Laflamme of Berlin, NH and Doris and (Donald) Enman of Littleton, NH; and Daughter-in-Law, Sharon Hoffman of Sebring, FL. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Catherine of 51 years; his Son, James Matthew of Cherry Point, NC; and his second Wife, Ilene Wilder Hoffman. Jack spent the last 13 years with Ilene residing in Holiday, FL., St. Joseph, MI and most recent Jacksonville, Fl. Ilene passed away March 26, 2017. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Haven Hospice of North East Florida.
