Memorial service for James E. Carter will be held September 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church. Jim loved and was loved by his wife, Ann, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jim was a born teacher and leader. He excelled at his chosen career, computer programming, at which he worked until age 75. Jim had a curiosity about almost everything, making him an avid reader, writer and conversationalist. After his retirement, he enjoyed volunteering, especially with Habijax and at HAB. His family and friends will miss his wisdom, wit and humor. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Habijax and the Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church music program. Please Sign the guestbook at www.hardagegiddensoaklawnchapel.com
