James Otte Dayton, born December 10, 1933 in Marysville, OH, passed away on February 28, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL. James O., as he was affectionately known, has been reunited with his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy Ann Dayton, who passed on November 20, 2002. He worked for 30 years for the State of Ohio, primarily in the State Treasure’rs office in Columbus, OH. Upon retirement, they moved to Vero Beach Florida. James O. is survived by his sons and their wives, Mark Dayton and Catherine Cooney of Washington DC and Stephen Dayton and Susan Baccoli of Jacksonville, FL and brothers, Dan, John and David. He has four loving and caring grandchildren, Lissa, James, Annie and Meghan and a great-granddaughter, Hannah. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, March 29, 2013 in Christ by the Sea United Methodist Church in Vero Beach FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA & Hospice Foundation of Vero Beach, FL.
