James Ray Reese

REESE - James Ray Reese, 82, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019. He was born September 17, 1936 in Carrollton, Kentucky to the late Lesley Patterson and Wilma Jane (Coots) Reese. Mr. Reese was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a longtime resident of Jacksonville before moving to St. Johns, Florida. James had retired after 32 years from CSX Railroad. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ken Reese and a sister, Patricia Lunger. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Anna Reese; two sons, Scott Reese (Kimberly) and Steven Reese (Tanya); another daughter-in-law, Eva Reese; one sister, Betty Richardson; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, other loving family and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, May 13, in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Boulevard, with Rev. Ferrill Gallaway officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 pm. His committal service, with military honors, will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 14, at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville.
