James V. Vinson

Known to be quite the karaoke DJ and Gator enthusiast, he attended University Christian Baptist and went on to a successful career as a self-employed Certified General Contractor, Home Inspector, Mold Remediator, and owner of Vinson Design & Build, Inc., His affiliations included being a member of the Builders Association as well as Southside Business Men's Club.

Jimmy is predeceased by his sister Melissa Vinson, and Father Lawrence Vinson. He is survived by his wife Gloria Vinson, daughters Melissa St. John (Jeremy) and Jamie Vinson, grandson Bentley St. John, mother Patricia Vinson, brothers Lawrence Joseph Vinson, Roger Vinson, Christopher Vinson, sisters Alisa Barrs and Deborah Vinson. He will be missed by many other relatives and friends.

Services are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday September 10, 2013 at Hendricks Chapel located at 4115 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32207 (904)346-3808 Pastor Frank Ciresi officiating.
