Jeannine Carol Morris

Born July 12, 1938, in Logan, Ohio; died on October 16, 2024 in Jacksonville, Florida. Preceded in death by parents Harry and Ruth West, infant sister Diane, and beloved sister Janie Pidcock. Also preceded in death by Harrison Morris, and first husband Paul Stenson. Survived by sons Andrew (Jennifer) Stenson of Jacksonville, Florida, and Matthew (Jennifer) Stenson of Medford, Oregon, and daughter Jennifer (Pat) Conroy of Dublin, Ohio. Also survived by her cherished grandchildren Jacob, Adam and Luke Stenson; Maggie Conroy; Emi Stenson Weiss; and Brady Stenson.

Jeannine was a graduate of Nelsonville High School (as valedictorian) and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ohio University. She was a dedicated teacher in Columbus and Athens, Ohio, initially in elementary education then as a home economics teacher. She then became a school administrator at Tri-County Vocational School in Nelsonville, and retiring from Licking County JVS in Newark, Ohio. She married Paul Stenson in 1960, and they lived in Reynoldsburg, Nelsonville, and Athens, Ohio. She married Harrison Morris in 1981, and they lived in Lancaster and Newark, Ohio, then retired to Pompano Beach, Florida where they enjoyed the boating and retired life. Harrison died in 2009. A few years later, Jeannine invited Paul to live with her in Pompano Beach, then they moved to Jacksonville, Florida to be near son Andy.

Jeannine was an excellent cook and hostess. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart, and she enjoyed life to the fullest.

Graveside burial service will be Saturday December 21, 2024 at 11:00 am at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio (15550 Twp-36, Nelsonville, OH 45764). Officiant Father Donald Horak.
