THOMPSON—Mrs. Jere Thompson, 77, passed away Monday, September 03, 2012. She was a native of Livingston, TN and had lived in Jacksonville 59 years. She was a loving mother and homemaker and a member of Cedar Bay Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Bay Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Tyler officiating. She was predeceased by her husband, Alton E. Thompson, Sr. in 2008. Her surviving family includes: her children, Debbie (Lonnie) Thompson, Al (Darlene) Thompson, Jr., Steve (Linda) Thompson, Randall Thompson and Melisa (D.J.) Cabler; a sister, Jean (Keith) Morris; her brothers, Bob (Lynn) Freeman and Jim (Sue) Freeman; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave., Wednesday, September 5 (TODAY) from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
