PICKETT - Jewell Smith Pickett (“Julie”), age 84, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on January 12, 1934 in Frostproof, FL to the late John and Nancy Smith. Julie lived in various cities including San Diego, CA, Winter Haven, FL, and Jacksonville, FL. She worked as a surgery scheduler for Scripps Memorial Hospital and as a State Farm Agency office manager until her retirement in 1998.
Julie is survived by her husband George Pickett, sons Douglas Pickett, Robert Pickett, Andrew Pickett, and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 16 at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 1910 Havendale Blvd NW, Winter Haven, FL.
