

He had been a resident of Jacksonville since 1986 coming from Anchorage, Alaska.
Prior to retirement Mr. Hyatt was a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy or 20 years having served in WWII, and then was an Air Traffic Controller for the FAA. He also served as Clerk for the Duval County Courthouse.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Temple, Mandarin Lodge for 60 years. Mr. Hyatt was an avid golfer.
He was pre-deceased by his step-daughter Vanessa Adkins.
Mr. Hyatt is survived by his wife Marsha Hyatt, three sons, Tom Hyatt (Chris) of Anchorage, Alaska; Gordon Hyatt (Ana) of NC; and John Hyatt (Barbie) of Wasilla, Alaska. Also surviving is a step-daughter, Marnie Scharping of Deland, FL, and 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday March 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM with inurnment at the Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
Family requests the donations be made in Mr. Hyatt’s’ honor to ASPLA or the charity of choice.
