Captain John F. Marden, 90, passed away on January 10, 2013. John lived in Jacksonville for over 56 years. He spent 40 years at sea. He was a ship captain and master modeler and loved the sea. He is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Doris L. Marden; sons, John F. Marden Jr. and Chris Marden; daughters, Pat McFarland (Bill), and Carol Williams; brother, Gerald Marden (Beatrice); grandchildren, Joanne Tufo, Diane Dienell (Grant), Shelly Baker (Brad), Stacy Stankiewicz, Jerry Williams Jr; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am -1:00pm on Monday, January 14, in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, January 14 in Mandarin Cemetery, 12535 Mandarin Rd, Jacksonville FL 32223 with Rev. James R. Cole and Father Lum officiating.
