
TODD John Isaac Todd, Jr., 81, passed away March 25, 2012, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on May 24, 1930, in Jacksonville. He is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Edna H. Todd; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. John I. Todd (Catherine Sompayrac), and his sister Catherine Todd Clark (Penn) of Lynchburg, Virginia. He is survived by his son John David Todd, wife Cynthia Toman Todd, granddaughter, Molly Anne Todd and grandson John David Todd, Jr.; sister Cecelia Todd Smith (Robert P. Smith, Jr.); two sisters-in-law Alma H. Potter and Shirley DeLee Higginbotham, and four nieces and one nephew. John was a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, was in the U.S. Army, and then graduated College and received his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University. He was a trial lawyer for 49 years in Jacksonville and served on many committees. He was a true Gator fan and had been an avid tennis player at the Florida Yacht Club. Competitive to the end, he took up walking and competed regularly in the Senior Olympics. A visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel on Friday, March 30, 2012, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel, with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
