

John Wayne “Ragman” Waldron age 62 of Jacksonville went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 9, 2012. He leaves behind to cherish his memory and celebrate his life his loving wife of 43 years Cathy Waldron, son John Waldron, Jr. of Jacksonville, daughter Nancy Schmidt (Dan) of Brunswick Georgia, , and three grandchildren Austin, Ashlynn, Maddison and numerous nieces and nephews, and his honorary brothers, Jim Parsons, Bobby Voorhees and Jack Kratz. His mother Lois Waldron, brother Hilmon E.I. Waldron, sister Nancy Raulerson, He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army with the First Infantry Division- “The Big Red One” ,he was a member of the American Legion Post 137 and the Woodstock-Riverside Masonic Lodge. He was a past Worshipful Master, and a 32nd degree Mason, and a Past Patron in the Eastern Star.
A private interment will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date and time. Services under the direction of Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Funeral Home.
