Jordan R. Murph

Jordan Robert Murph, 24, of Jacksonville, passed away July 22, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Jordan was born on January 24, 1987 in Jacksonville. He was a student at the University of North Florida where he was a Political Science major. Jordan was a member of the Young Republicans of Northeast Florida and the BMW Club. He enjoyed sports cars, music, computers and he was a Florida Gator fan. He was also a marksmanship specialist. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Vickie and Al Starling; his father and step-mother, Robert and Linda Murph; his brothers, Troy and Jared Murph; his sister, Amber Murph; his grandparents, John and Frances Murph; his aunts, Julie Holton, Carol Prassee, Dari Ann Willis, Margaret Scott, and Sylvia Butler; his uncles, Larry Murph and Snowden Nichols; and numerous cousins. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Friday, July 29th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223. The Funeral Service will be held at 5:30 pm on Friday, July 29th, also in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. A Celebration of Jordan’s Life will be held at the Starling’s residence on Saturday July 30th, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Jordan to the Children’s Hospital Foundation for Pediatric Heart, 1600 7th Ave., Birmingham, AL 35233.
