Joselito Artemio Flores Mendoza III

Joselito Artemio Flores Mendoza III, 87, of Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025. Born on December 9, 1937, Joselito dedicated 22 years of his life to serving in the United States Navy, retiring with honor.

In his retirement, Joselito cherished spending time with his family and friends, and found joy in fishing. He lived in Jacksonville, Florida, before recently relocating to Orange Park, Florida.

Joselito is survived by his loving wife, Mary Mendoza; his children, Catina Laster (Robert) and Joselito Mendoza IV (Jo Anne); his grandchildren, Stephen, Joey, Savannah, Devon, and Jayden. He is also survived by his sisters, Lilia M. Yuson and Erlinda M. Cabrera (Jose), and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose R. Mendoza; his mother, Consolacion F. Mendoza; his brother, Eliseo F. Mendoza; his sister, Zenaida M. Rabena; and his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Meletania E. Mendoza, Jesus R. Rabena Sr., and Vicente A. Yuson.

A visitation for Joselito will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME PA, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5752 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32244. A committal service will occur Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Following the committal service, a reception will be held at the Mason Lodge, Hyde Park No. 370, 6744 McMullin Street, Jacksonville, FL 32210.
