With the upmost love, and sincere condolences to the Brandenburg family. Thank you for allowing me to play a part in his life. It is no secret Mr. Jody wasn’t just any favorite patient of mine. He was more than a patient to me. We had a bond while we took care of him in the River Garden Rehabilitation Center. He would call me for help physically, mentally, emotionally or just to talk. To those who knew him very well he was very private in his personal matter. However he loved running his business, and failure was never an option. He has touched my heart, and inspired me that one of the key things in life is dedication and determination. 

My days taking care of Mr. Jody he always loved to talk about fishing, golfing, hunting, and how he was always proud of his family. It is hard to loose a person whose holds a strong image & a pillar to the community. Truly irreplaceable. With much love.

I worked with and for Jody from 1982 to 1991 while at SCI. He was full of wisdom when you needed it. He was a senior manager when I was just a 22 year old funeral director.  He was patient and encouraging to young managers. He was a great storyteller and a great boss. He loved to see young people grow in the organization and would do anything for you. I was lucky to work with him, work for him and learn from him. He cared about our clients at the funeral home and always talked about us taking care of them. May God bless his family. This was a good man.

Jody Brandenburg was one of the most remarkable men I've met in Jacksonville. A mission-driven leader Jody made an extraordinary impact on the quality of life in our Northeast Florida community. Jody was simply someone who could be counted upon, all of the time. He was a dear friend and we are going to miss him. May his memory be forever a blessing to his family and our community.

Janne I was out of the state when I learned of Jodi's passing. I do know how all of you feel .To all of the family I praise him for a life well lived. Itwas full of grace giving and all thinks positive. I will never forget you two visiting me at H/G Hendricks in 1996 when my mother passed away. God grant peace and surround the family and loved ones with a spirit that shall ever shine.

To Jody’s family, all the way back to Riverside, Miami Beach, my memories of Jody helping with the purchase of my funeral home, Port Orange, still fill my heart.  Jody was such an enormous influence in my business as a fair person and a great friend.  I am pretty sure I couldn’t have survived in the sole searching sale of my funeral home without him.  Jody was the greatest inspiration to me.

Jody was one of my dad's closest friends for many years until my dad's passing and remained a great friend to all the Ritter family. As a good follower on social media, he never missed a birthday or one of my hunting trips, offering up a "like" or an acknowledgment that he cared about his friends.

A true legend and a great person. Each time I met with Jody or had lunch  it was a pleasant learning experience.   He always had something to share and was so caring about others. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Jody. He was always the consummate host, rolling out the red carpet to welcome us with warmth and generosity. His kindness and hospitality touched so many, and he will be dearly missed.

My deepest condolences are with you all.  I have so many memories of Jody while living in Houston during his Floral Division days and that amazing smile! So glad we kept in touch and, I will always remember our chats over the years.  May your cherished memories give you comfort in the days ahead.

Jody was a true leader and a gentleman.  His energy and enthusiasm for his family, work, community and any organization he was part of created the environment for excellence.  Jody was installed as Commodore of Epping Forest Yacht Club only a year ago, his term ending in March of 2024.  He presided over a record year in membership and improvements that will be difficult to match.  

He will be missed by so many individuals and organizations in our community, including Rotary Club of Jacksonville, Safari Club, Jacksonville Police Council, River Garden, Boy Scouts of America, Hospice and Palliative Care of NE Florida and many other local organizations that benefited from his council over many decades of SERVICE ABOVE SELF.

Very sorry to hear about Jody's passing.  He was a true professional and gentleman.  I will always remember Jody for his optimisms, professionalism,  and can do attitude!  He will be missed.

I will miss our lunches with great conversation covering everything from "the family business" (fishing), politics and shooting to the funeral business. One of Jody's greatest qualities was his passion for the success of those around him. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Rest in Heaven Mr. Brandenburg, you were larger than life. You were someone who we all looked up to. Getting a short e-mail of congratulations from you a few years ago is one of the greatest moments of my career.

I’m so very sorry to hear about my friend. He an I worked at Combs Funersl Home in Miami, Florida in 1964. A aunt had question about her burial plain. I got back into the funeral business agin in 2008 with SCI in Charlotte, NC. A real good friend of his told me to call Jody Brandenburg. I did and told him who I was. He said he remembered me after all those years. We stayed in touch after that. So sorry for his loss to family an to Hardage Giddens

Jody was always the consummate funeral professional with a twinkle in his eye. He was quick with a compliment or words of encouragement. He will be greatly missed.
