

Joyce A. LeSiege, age 86, passed away on April 11, 2017 in her home with family by her side. She was born January 12, 1931 in Akron, OH, the daughter of the late Bruce and Ruth Thompson. Joyce was a dedicated wife and mother who loved flower arranging, cooking and playing tennis. She met her husband Gerald in Miami where they got married and lived for two years before moving back to Boston. They later moved to Jacksonville, Florida and their love for travel has brought them to many places including Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Gerald cared for her until the end as she was his world, his guiding light. She will be remembered as a fighter and will forever live on in our hearts. Joyce is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gerald; sons, Gary (MariLou) LeSiege and Les (Shaleen) LeSiege; daughters, Lynanne (Joel) Bise and Jill (Bryant) Thigpen; grandchildren, Ian, Cameron, Brent and Dylan LeSiege, Noah Bise and Jillian Thigpen; brother, Kirk Thompson. Gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, April 20 from 6-8 p.m. in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 21 at 12:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32218. Memorial Contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32257 or the Alzheimer’s Association.
