Juanita Lee Bliss

Juanita Lee Bliss – Mother was escorted home by the angels on June 7, 2007 after a brief illness and stay in The Morris Center Hospice. She was born in Hoboken, GA on February 28, 1927 and resided in Jacksonville, FL since childhood. She was a member of Spirit of Life Lutheran Church, formerly St. James Lutheran Church. She was a past Senior Regent of Moose Lodge #1517. Mrs. Bliss was retired from St. Luke’s Hospital, after 18 years of service as a bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Edward Murray. She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Gerri (Edward) Jones, Jacksonville, FL and Betty Jean Mallard, Jacksonville, FL; two sons, David Davis Murray, Jacksonville, FL and Rev. Dr. Donald Allen (Jane) Murray, Lewisville, NC.; She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and a special friend, Margaret (Paul) James. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 11, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 5401 Dunn Avenue, with Pastor Ellen Cross officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M.
