Juanita Blanche Zeigler

Juanita Blanche Zeigler, 90, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 28th, 2015 at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida – Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring. Juanita was born in Phillipsburg, PA on January 10th, 1925 and moved to Florida from Houtzdale, PA in 1980. After living in South Florida, she relocated to Jacksonville, Florida in 2006.

Juanita survived her loving husband Leo Zeigler, who passed away in January 1971. She was the last living member of her family and was preceded in death by her mother and father: Naomi and Merrill Fleck and her brothers and sisters: Woody, John, Merrill, Neal, Eva, and Delores.

She leaves behind her children: Linda Zeigler, Barbara Metallo, and Timothy Zeigler; her grandchildren: Brittany Cohen, Derek Metallo, and Mark Metallo; and her great-grandchildren: Charlotte Mayhugh, Derek Metallo, Sophia Metallo, Marielle Metallo, Samantha White, Mackenzie White, Faith Lovell, Cara Lovell.

The family will receive friends from 4-5pm, Saturday, September 5 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. A celebration of Juanita's life will follow at 5pm, Satuday, September 5, also at Hardage-Giddens. A committal service will be held 10am, Tuesday, September 8, at St. Lawrenece Catholic Cemetery in Houtzdale, Pennsylvania.
