Judy Christine Hiden

Judy Christine Nelson, 91, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of Forest and Edith Nelson. Judy married Ralph Hiden on June 2, 1956, and together they shared 66 years of love and adventure until his passing.

She built a career in real estate and later served as Assistant to the President of the University of North Florida. Judy was a devoted member of Lakewood United Methodist Church and volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Seniors on a Mission. She loved sailing with Ralph and treasured time with family and her Friday Night group of friends.

She is survived by her children Ruth Babadi, Dan Hiden (Kelly), David Hiden (Robbie), and Phillip Hiden (Edward); seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family extends special thanks to her caregivers Rosemary Leveritt, Johnson Bernardin, and Donna Peterson.

Judy will be remembered for her faith, generosity, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held on November 22, 2025, starting at 3pm at Hardage-Giddens Mandrin Chapel, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223.
