Judith "Judy" Irene Moody, aged 73, died peacefully on June 17, 2016 at Beaches Baptist Medical Center. Judy was born on April 20, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of the late William Ray Maxwell and Nellie Elizabeth Touchton Maxwell. She was united in marriage to Maxey Dell Moody III on August 24, 1963. They were married for 53 blissful years.
Judy is survived by her husband Maxey Dell Moody III; children and spouses, Lisa Moody, Max Moody IV (Cheryl), Ray Moody (Kathy), Susan Lawhon (Joey), Jane Powell (Jason), Robert Moody (Robin), Jessica Phillips (Trey), Stephen Moody (Candice); ten loving grandchildren, Andrew, Max V, Audrey, Madilyn, Taylor, Caroline, Mary Hannah, Harrison, Robert Jr., and Mitchell; brother, Ron Maxwell; and sister, Cynthia Maxwell. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Moody, in 1980.
Visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, June 21st at Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel, 4115 Hendricks Avenue. A Celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, June 22nd at Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel, followed by interment at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Boulevard.
