June Alice Johnson

On Saturday, January 17, 2026 June Alice Elbe Johnson - wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother – was welcomed into Heaven’s gates. June was born on September 7, 1942. She grew up in Brentwood, NY with her loving parents Frederick and Alice Elbe, and her younger brother Ricky. When June was 23, she went on a short trip to Fire Island, NY where she met a young Coast Guardsman, William ‘Bill’ Robert Johnson. June and Bill went on to share 60 glorious years together. They raised three wonderful children while traveling to various ‘ports of call’ in the United States. June and Bill landed in Jacksonville FL, where they built a successful business together. June loved the Lord, her church, and spreading God’s love at home and abroad. June built a missionary team with her friends and sisterhood, traveling to multiple countries where they put words into action for others. June will be missed by many, most especially the family she leaves behind.

June is survived by her husband, William Robert Johnson; three children, Lisa (Michael) Vitry, Lori Johnson and Luke (Shawna) Johnson; seven grandchildren, Kailyn Vitry, Cameron Vitry, Seth Johnson, Aurora Johnson, Lily Johnson, Adeline Johnson and Javon Amerson; and three great-granddaughters, Addison Shuminsky, Kimber Vitry and Emma Vitry.

A memorial service will be held on January 28, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Atlantic Beach Assembly of God Church.
