

Karol Tencer of Jacksonville, Florida passed away suddenly on February 22, 2016. Born November 14, 1967 in Nova Bana, Slovakia, to Maria and Karol Tencer; he grew up loving mountains, animals and airplanes. In 1998 he moved to the United States to join his wife, Dagmar Tencer, and in 2007 they both became US citizens. Karol worked for Suddath Companies as an IT network engineer for 16 years and was loved by many coworkers and friends.
He was preceded in his death by his father, Karol Tencer and mother-in-law, Terezia Fricka. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife; his sister, Maria Vandlikova; his brother-in-law, Jozef Vandlik; his nieces, Barbara Vandlikova and Maria Vrastiakova with husband Martin Vrastiak; his father-in-law, Jan Fricky; his sister-in-law, Tatjana Poticna with husband Peter Poticny; and his wife’s nieces, Ivana Poticna Cermak with husband Anton Cermak and a 4-day old son, Matias Cermak; Alena Jurcikova with husband Jan Jurcik, and their children, Julia Jurcikova and Tomas Jurcik. Karol will be deeply missed by his family and all others who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 26 at 3:00 pm at the Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel on 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL.
