Kathleen Marie McLaughlin Malloy

Kathleen Marie McLaughlin Malloy, aged 94, passed away on July 27, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on June 25, 1930, in Ashland, Pennsylvania, Kathleen dedicated her life to the care of others, both as a loving family member and a committed professional.

A proud graduate of Misericordia School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA, Kathleen's nursing career included significant contributions at Baptist Hospital and the Florida Georgia Blood Alliance. Her life was a testament to her belief in generosity and the importance of 'paying it forward.'

Kathleen was a devout parishioner at Assumption Catholic Church and Holy Family Catholic Church. Her faith played a pivotal role in her life and provided comfort and community throughout her years.

She leaves behind her children, Maureen Kall (John), Peter J. Malloy Ill, Michael Malloy, and Daniel Malloy.

Kathleen was a cherished grandmother to Kylie, Kathleen, Katie, and Molly, who brought immense joy into her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter J. Malloy, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 6, from 6-8 pm at The Legacy Lodge at Oaklawn Cemetery, located at 4801 San Jose Blvd. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, at 11 am at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd. A private burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

The family extends their gratitude to her caregiver, Julita Singca, for her kindness and dedication.

Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel at 4801 San Jose Blvd. is assisting the family during this time.
