Lashonda Belcher

LaShonda Mignon Belcher (AKA) Peaches passed away on June 8, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 44. Peaches was born on November 18, 1979, in Atlanta, Georgia, and graduated from Alonzo A. Crim open campus high school.

Peaches dedicated her life to helping others as a Phlebotomist and later found joy in being self-employed as an independent contractor for various businesses. She was a kind, loving, and spiritual individual who cherished spending time with her family and friends. Peaches had a fondness for inspirational quotes, the warmth of the sun, going on vacations, and the simple pleasures of laughing and dancing. Her compassionate nature and sensitivity made her always attentive to the needs of others.

She is survived by her husband Terry Belcher, sons Terry Belcher Jr. and Tobias Stewart, brother Taurus Maxey, step-brother Derrick Maxey, step-daughter Trevona Belcher, step-granddaughter Brooklynn Belcher, mother Toni Haywood, step-father Lance Haywood, aunt Theresa Horne, uncle Charles and Hannah Horne, step-uncle Charles and Gloria Catchings, uncle Dennis and Drew Horne, step-aunts Lee Moore and Wilma Catchings, uncle Otis Horne, best friend Christina Love as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Peaches' warm smile, caring heart, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by the Bakker-Haywood family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.

A visitation for Lashonda will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. A graveside service will occur Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
