

Leona M. Brzozowski, 90, of Jacksonville, Fl. passed away peacefully Thursday, July 9, 2020. She was born in Shiner, TX on October 6, 1929 to Adolph an Mary Blaschke. Leona was a graduate of Shriner High School and later attended beauty school in Corpus Christi, Tx. Working as a beautician, she sold beauty products in New York, Ny and also Dallas, Tx. Leona married John Brzozowski on June 19, 1951, in Saints Cryil and Methodius Catholic Church in Shriner, Texas. She joined John who served in the United States Navy. They moved to many different cities including Orange TX, Norfolk VA (twice), Charleston SC and Jacksonville Fl. After seven years of marriage Leona and John adopted twins Kevin and Kathy and moved to Norfolk, VA. They decided to retire to Jacksonville, Fl where Leona continued her career as a beautician until the late 1970's when she pursued a Real Estate career with Century 21 Real Estate which she enjoyed very much and was very successful. In her retirement years she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Leona is preceded in death by her parents Adolph and Mary; her husband John and daughter Kathy. Survivors include her son Kevin (Denise); grandchildren, Travis (Ginny), Brian, Lauren Cannon (David) and Mark (Jen); great-grandchildren, Diego, Ariel, Gabrielle, Sebastian, Jacob, Laina, Owen and Ezra. Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on July 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a burial at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
