Letitia Anne Ludwig

Letitia “Tish” Anne Ludwig, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born on August 23, 1935, Tish was the daughter of Percy F. Ludwig and Ruth Maloney Ludwig. She spent her entire life in the Avondale neighborhood, in a home filled with warmth, tradition, and cherished memories.

Tish received her early education at St. Paul’s Catholic School in Riverside and attended St. Paul’s Catholic High School for three years before completing her senior year at Bishop Kenny High School. She graduated in 1953, as a proud member of the school’s first graduating class. Tish remained a devoted and lifelong parishioner of St. Paul’s Riverside Catholic Church.

Tish dedicated over 40 years of her professional life to Florida National Bank, later known as First Union. She worked in the bonds department.

She had a passion for travel and explored destinations both across the United States and around the world. Her journeys took her to places such as Hong Kong, Germany, the British Isles, France, Canada, Ireland, Austria, Mexico, Russia, Rome, and the Vatican.

Tish found joy in time spent with family. She was a constant presence at her cousins’ gatherings and their children’s milestones, faithfully attending dance recitals, birthday parties, sporting events, graduations, and weddings. She was especially known for hosting countless Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations in her Avondale home, where she created lasting traditions and emphasized the joy of giving.

She also loved simple pleasures—days at the beach with family, enjoying fried shrimp at O’Steen’s in St. Augustine, watching Walt Disney productions, tending to her backyard garden, going for walks, and caring for her many beloved cats.

Tish lived a long and full life. Her family extends gratitude to the caregivers of Community Hospice and San Jose Gardens Memory Care.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on May 2, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Garden of Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206, US.
