Jeanne was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa and grew up on the family farm outside Rockwell City, Iowa. It was there in the small little farm town that she met Gale Hendricks. When she left the small farm town, she moved to Des Moines, Iowa and started a very successful career within the Beauty industry. She owned numerous salons, earned her cosmetology license, and worked for Redken (teaching and traveling the United States sharing her expertise). She was an over achiever and worked tirelessly in her field. With a little success she found another passion in Corvettes. She was an extremely hard worker and an extremely devoted mother to her son “Tony.”
After many years, at a high school reunion she rekindled with her first love, Gale. They started a whirlwind romance where she ended up married and living in Jacksonville, Florida. She fueled Gales passion for wheels and horsepower, while he fueled her passion for flowers and gardening. They were so happy and fed off each others energy. They raced a vintage sprint car and she was part of his pit crew. Their passion for each other grew as well as their passion for Corvettes. Gale tragically passed in a vintage race car accident in 2018. Jeanne went on to pursue her passion for flowers and gardening. She joined the Mandarin Garden Club and achieved the status of a Certified Master Gardener. Jeanne volunteered at the University of Florida Extension providing assistance and gardening knowledge to the community. Jeanne's other passion was butterflies. She created a butterfly garden in her backyard and was honored for creating a Monarch Waystation where she raised, tagged and released Monarch butterflies. She shared this passion with her granddaughter and built lifelong memories.
Jeanne is survived by her son Richard Anthony (Tony) Roese (Jacey), 3 grandchildren and new great-grandchild (Siobhan). Taylor (Parker), Morgan (Chris) and Drake. Daughter Amy Wellborn (Chad) and granddaughter Jaydyn. Sister (Karen Hildreth), niece (Heather), nephew (Jack) and 2 grandchildren.
