

He was born on February 5, 1923 in Jacksonville, NC to Louis Sr. and Beulah Henderson. Mr. Henderson has been a resident of Jacksonville since being transferred from Wilmington, NC while working for Atlantic Coastline Railroad in 1960. During WWII L.B. served in U.S. Army, 425th MPEG Co in Reading, England where he met his beloved wife to be, Nessie. He was a member of the Peace Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville, FL. since 1960. Prior to retirement he worked for CSX after 42 years of service.
He was predeceased by his wife Nessie Henderson. He is survived by his Son Jim Henderson of Middleburg and his daughter Mary Henderson of Jacksonville and many Nephews and nieces all of Wilmington, NC.
A visitation will be held on Sunday,April 19, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the St. Nicholas Room at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207.
A funeral service will be on Monday April 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Peace Presbyterian Church, 2300 Southside Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32216.
Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL. with Military Honors.
