
In 1968, she helped found and operate Ambulance Service Inc., leaving after 14 years. LuLa started Lubi’s Hot Subs in 1969 as a hobby, and operated them for over 44 years. Lubi's continues to be in business today. She was a longstanding member of the Salaam Club, Molaka Club and Syrian Ladies Charity Society. She was very supportive of various children’s charities.
LuLa was a founding member of Hodges Blvd. Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, LuLa was preceded in death by a sister, Julia Fekany, niece, Betty Ann Amster, and daughter-in-law, Deborah DiRamio.
She is survived by two children, Nic DiRamio and Nina Teuschel (Daniel). Grandchildren include Patrick VIII, Niccolas II, Robert "RW" (Dawn), Tressina (David), William II, Matthew, and Andrew. Great grandchildren include Susan, Kylie, Izzina, Alida, and David Jon. Also surviving is a nephew, Tony Fekany (Judy) and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Oaklawn Chapel. Funeral and Interment will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Shirley Dandelake officiating at Oaklawn Cemetery and Chapel 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
