

Madison Leonard Mouzon, age 92, died on August 24, 2017 because he was ready to see Jesus and his beloved wife. Born September 14, 1924 in Rocky Mount, NC, he lived most of his life in the Jacksonville, FL area and worked for many years as a Railway Master Mechanic at the CSX Transportation. He served in the United States Army during World War II with Patton’s 3rd Army in Europe. Leonard was a member of several Baptist churches over the years, including decades at First Baptist of Jacksonville, but moved his membership to Lake Shore Baptist Church (where his son Steve is pastor) for the last years of his life. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary and his brothers, Charles and Samuel. Survivors include his brother, Theron (Eleanor) Mouzon; children, Ann & George Luke, Bud & Debbie Mouzon, Ray & Janet Mouzon, Steve & Stella Mouzon and Kathryn & Brent Blanchette; grandchildren, Angela & Jimmy Renaud, Susan Pace, Erin & Jeremiah Wright, Ian Mouzon, Shelly & Carlos Mararac, Nathaniel & Christine Mouzon, Jonathan & Allison Mouzon, Steven & Diana Mouzon, Stephanie & Nick Swarthout, Stacy & Jason Brown, Mary Beth & Gary Hodges and Brent & Jessie Blanchette; great grandchildren, Jack Renaud, Holly Renaud, Ethan Renaud, Gabe Pace, Colin Milner, Harper Milner, Kaeleigh Williams, Dominick Mararac, Luke Mararac, Julianna Mararac, Alden Mouzon, Lena Mouzon, Cash Mouzon, Seth Mouzon, Hannah Swarthout, Steven Swarthout, Madison Swarthout, Davis Brown, Luke Brown, Allison Brown, Bethany Hodges, Bryan Hodges, Addison Blanchette and Reagan Blanchette. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29 from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in Lake Shore Baptist Church, 2363 Blanding Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32210. Lunch will follow at the church for family and out of town guests. Burial will take place at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Shore Baptist Church.
