

Mrs. Margaret J (Peggy) McDade, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 11, 1928. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning, July 19, 2015 to be with her Lord and Savior. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Debra C. Bernard, (husband Richard) of Jacksonville, Florida, daughter Linda G. Tyre of Tallahassee, Florida, son Michael J. McDade (wife Rosie) of Largo, Florida. Four grandchildren, Kelley N. Tyre, Robbie Cloud, Aimee Crego and Katie McDade. Five great grandchildren, Alexis and Alyssa (Jade) Cloud, Trinity and Cole Crego, Landon Tyre Morgan and Ella Rose McDade.
Peggy retired from Publix Supermarket in 1984 located in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 1986 she relocated to Tallahassee, Florida to help provide care of her granddaughter, Kelley. During this time she spent countless hours of volunteering at Charies Elementary School teaching children to read. She also received Senior Citizen Volunteer of the Year. Her life was dedicated to loving and caring for her family. She found pleasure in reading books, cooking and playing bingo. She especially loved playing cards and taught all of us to play at an early age. And last but not least she loved watching Florida State football games. She loved Bobby Bowden and her Seminoles.
A Memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at eleven o'clock a.m. at Saint Matthews Catholic Church located at 1773 Blanding Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida. A reception will follow the memorial service in the parish hall. The entire family would like to thank Hospice of Jacksonville for all of the care they provided for mom.
