Maritza del Carmen Barraza

Maritza was a devoted full-time housewife to her husband, Anax Barraza. They were married on June 19, 1955, in Barranquilla, Colombia, and together they raised two children. Her life was centered around her family, and she took great pride in her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Anax Barraza of Jacksonville, Florida; and her legacy is continued by daughter Maritza Caraballo and her husband Ulises Caraballo of Jacksonville, Florida; and son Ricardo Barraza and his wife Betsy Barraza of Miami, Florida. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Rick Caraballo and his wife Hailey of Imperial Beach, California, with their children Gavin and Audrey; Stefanie Snipes and her husband Walter of Jacksonville, Florida, with their children Emma, Sofie, and Walter; Alex Caraballo and his wife Sharina of Jacksonville, Florida, with their children Mira and Luca; Nicolas Barraza of Jacksonville, Florida; and Alexandra Ferris and her husband Christian of Odenville, Alabama, with their daughter Noa.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, May 2, at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 9800-3 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32256. The Mass will be celebrated by Father Prabhudas Meenuga and Rev. Rodolfo Godinez.
