

Marlene Simons-Humphreys, 46, of Jacksonville, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 7, 2013. She was born in Brooklyn, daughter of Bernard Simons and Lillie (Dilman) Simons. In 2000 she married Alan Humphreys and together they moved to Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Simons and two sisters, Carolyn and Nora.
Surviving are her devoted husband Alan, her mother, Lillie Dilman, three sons, Steven (Katie) Alonoso, Ali Hassan, Michael Simons, two brothers, Gary (Connie) Simons, Alan (Sheryl) Simons, sisters, Ronni (Hatim) Hanafy, Sharon (Eddie) Sacolick, grandchildren, Layla, Kayla, Steven Mark, Anthony, Jordan, A. J. Ali Jr., Isabella, nieces and nephews, Lisa Bryant, Chad and Shawn, Johnathan and Lee, Adam and Jasmine, Joey and Stephanie and many dear friends.
The family will greet friends for visitation from noon until 2 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207. A celebration of Marlene’s life will follow visitation.
