Born on Sept. 27, 1944 in Fresno, California to Charles and Lucy Pilling, she was a special daughter, grand-daughter, sister, niece, cousin, mother, Grammy, sister-in-law, aunt and best friend.
Marsha was intelligent and had many talents. She was a homemaker and caretaker, an excellent cook, baker and cake maker, a great event planner, a seamstress, a crocheter, an interior decorator, a photographer, a poet, a computer whiz, a methodical organizer, and she was a super “Green Thumb” gardener.
Marsha had a 35 year career at FJC/FCCJ, retiring in 2005 after working first in Purchasing and later in Budget/ Financial Services.
Last but not least, Marsha was a lover of her Lord and Savior. No matter what difficulties came into her life, no matter how large or how small, she never lost her faith in her Heavenly Father.
Marsha is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior in Heaven and she is now together again with those who she loved and lost and who were there waiting for her when she came.
Marsha is survived by her Uncle Arnold “Buddy” Pendarvis, sister-in-law, Donna Pilling; her niece, Jamie (Jesse) Howard; her daughter Rachael (Stephen) Chancey; four grandchildren, and an enormous circle of extended family and friends.
Her funeral will be held on Feb. 6, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Mill Cove Church. A graveside service follows at 12:30 p.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery.
