It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our beloved Martin "Mac" McDonough, who passed away on August 26, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on August 26, 1959, in Bronxville, New York, to the late Martin Henry and Martha Ann McDonough.
Mac was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life and lived with a passion that was truly contagious. He was a New Yorker through and through, with a deep love for the Hudson River and the countless days he spent out on the water boating with family and friends. His lifelong fascination with cars was what led him into the automobile business for work. He especially loved classic cars, including his cherished 1970 Plymouth GTX, which was a testament to his bold and boisterous spirit. He was also a fiercely loyal fan of the Las Vegas Raiders, a team he followed with unwavering dedication.
Mac’s greatest joy was his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Lucille, who was his rock and the love of his life. He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Jaclyn (Jason) Argott and Tara (Sean Sr) Thomas. He was also a doting grandfather to his six grandchildren; Deven, Aubrey, Ethan, Emma, Scarlett and Sean Jr., who were the absolute light of his life, and he cherished every moment he spent with them. He also leaves behind his loving siblings, Meg (Frank) Serrano, Maureen (Rick) Boehm and Michael McDonough.
Mac will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. We will carry his memory in our hearts forever. Will see you on the other side.
