Mary Joseph Flink-Carter

FLINK - Mary Joseph Flink (Carter) was born on January 28, 1964 in Jacksonville, FL and passed on to her eternal life on August 8, 2016 at the age of 52. Her parents were Charles Flink Sr. and Myrtle McAdams, whom both preceded her in death. She was the sixth of seven children John (brother), Charles Jr. (brother-(passed)), Julie (sister), Rosie (sister), Corda (sister) and Brewer (brother).

Mary was the wife of Troy Carter for 19 years and spent the majority of her life in Jacksonville, Florida. She completed her education at Florida State College Jacksonville and went on to be a housewife/homemaker for the majority of her life. She has four children Lorraine Scheurer, Mistie Ridenour, Amanda Tyre and Brandie Tyre. Mary loved to pass the time by working in her yard, hanging at the beach and spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren that she absolutely adored.

Mary was a woman with a gracious heart and would find the positive side in any situation. She had a spunky personality that would keep you laughing. She will be truly missed by all that knew her and grew to love her.

Services will be conducted on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Holiday Hill Baptist Church located at 730 Mandalay Rd., Jacksonville FL 32216. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-11:00AM and services will start at 11:00AM followed by reception.
