

Mary Milligan Harvey, age 101, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2025. She was born November 19, 1924, in Jacksonville, Florida and grew up in the Riverside area, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 1942. She met and married Michael J. Harvey in 1944. They were among the founding members of Parkwood Baptist Church, raised their family there. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Cary Cleveland Milligan and Myrtle May Lowe Milligan, husband of over 60 years, Michael J. Harvey, daughter, Patricia Dawn Barley, and her brothers, Gerald Ellis Milligan Sr., James C. Milligan, and Ed Milligan. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Kidd (Jeff), 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren - to whom she was lovingly known as "GrandMary."
Mary was a true example of a kind, down to earth woman, with a truly wonderful spirit. Her presence, character, and influence quietly shaped and molded those in her life. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge, located at 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, on January 2, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at Parkwood Baptist Church, located at 7900 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32211, on January 3, 2026, starting at 10:00 am. With internment to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
