I wish I got to know you better. I miss you, we all do. At the time of writing this I am in the 7th grade. You were amazing, and I miss you. I again, just really wish i got to spend even a little more time with you! I don't have very many memories of you, but the ones i did have were only good ones. Nana, I will always love and respect you.

How do you find the words adequate and powerful enough to describe this wonderful women who meant so much to so many people? How do you express the gratitude you felt each time she seemed to be there just when you needed her the most? Saying just the right things to get you through whatever crisis you were going through. I remember one of the worst days of my life was when my ex-mother in-law died and I was sitting in the church pew alone wondering how I was going to get through it. i looked up and there Jean was, like an answer to a prayer. she sat down beside me , gave me one of those wonderful smiles and one of those wonderful strong hugs and I knew thanks to her I was going to survive that horrible day. Although I know I said the words numerous times to her how awesome she was and how much I loved and appreciated her, did she feel the depth and sincerity of it? I pray she did. We all love you Jean, and believe me when I say that not a day will go by that we won't include you in our thoughts and in our hearts, smiling at our favorite memories and grieving for our loss until God willing we see you again. My deepest sympathy goes to you Roger, Russell, Cody and Kayla for I know your hearts are heavy missing Jean. I pray that everyday the memories grow stronger and the pain lessens and becomes easier to bear. Know that we love you and we are here for you to help comfort and support you whenever you need. My Aunt Jean was an amazing woman.  She always had a smile and a hug for me anytime she saw me.  Some of my fondest memories as a child were created at her house.  I remember being so excited to spend the night at Aunt Jean and Uncle Roger's house.  Not only would I get to follow around Little Roger and Russell, but I knew Aunt Jean would be willing to color and play Barbies with me for hours.  She even let me color paper towels when I ran out of paper! I was blessed to have such a sweet Lady as my aunt.

My memories go back to as early sd when I was 6 or 7. She would always pick me and my brother up and get us those gift cards from McDonalds. We could get two happy meals with those. It was like real money to us. We didn't care though, we always loved spending time with Aunt Jean. We really didn't have much time with her and Uncle Roger when we moved to Oklahoma. But mom always made sure the holidays call were made. We would always call get a letter from Grandpa Davis and I think we did talk to him from time to time too. We would call Aunt Gladys and Uncle Waldo and than Aunt Jean and Uncle Roger. One year we got a big present from Aunt Jean. Back than Game consoles were unheard of. But for Christmas Aunt Jean bought us a nintendo. We didn't know what to do with it. Because we've never had toys like this before. What I am trying to say here is Aunt Jean always tried to put a smile on each childs face in this family. She was so much like my Grandmother Mary. Grandma Mary spoiled ya whether you liked it or not. And Aunt Jean did it because she could. It wasn't to throw it in anyones face it was to make a smile worth a thousand words.And boy she had a smile, I can see why Uncle Roger married this woman. Never heard yelling around them. There was always love. I hope my love with my husband will continue to grow like theres for a very long time. There is not one day that will go by that I will not think abouit her. She is safe with Grandma Mary and Grandpa Davis and her son. No more pain to suffer.

Mary Jean was a BEAUTIFUL SPIRIT and loving lady.  My life was truly blessed because of Jean and ALL of her family.  My prayers are with you, Roger and Russell.

I have a heavy heart today filled with sadness, but I am blessed by having known her and been a part of her family.

My memories of Jean go back a long way to another time in my life. She was jsuch a loving and caring sister in law and doted on her nieces and nephews as well, The memories of the holidays spent in her home were so wonderful and happy. You are with Mama and Daddy now as the Lord called upon you to sit at his table. You will be missed by so many. I can still hear you say "hey lady" as the memories bring a smile to my face. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time of great loss.
