After a four year journey battling the effects of Alzheimer's, Mary Linda Harrison Yonge died peacefully on Sunday January 15, 2017. Linda was born on October 15th in Athens, Georgia as the daughter of Norman John Harrison and Mary Elizabeth Harrison. Linda is survived by her son, Anthony Robert Yonge (Tony); and granddaughter, Nyla; as well as her four sisters, Brenda Harrison Greengrass of Peachtree City, GA, Dianne Harrison Lott (Tony), Deborah Harrison Johnson (Mark), and Patricia Elaine Akin (Barry), all of Jacksonville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Linda spent her career in the insurance business and served in different capacities for both Prudential and State Farm Insurance. Linda's passion in addition to spending time with family was the Georgia Bulldogs. Being born in Athens and having a Dad who played at Georgia made her one of the most devout and loyal Georgia fans you can imagine. There will be a private family graveside service at Oaklawn Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon.
