Max "Mickey" Block

Mickey served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a graduate of the University of Florida. He worked for and helped build Long Life Dairy. He started DariFair Foods. He was one of the founders of J.C.A. and served as Chair on the Board of The Temple. He supported many charities throughout his life.

Mickey was the loving husband of Beverly; father of William (Lauren), Andrew (Christine), Jeffrey and the late Michele; grandfather of Alex, Megan, Steph, Justin, Sean, Madelyn and Asher. Also survived by his sister Anne Weiss of Memphis, TN.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 20 in Temple Cemetery in Evergreen 4535 Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aaron Block Fund at Ahavath Chesed Temple 8727 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32257, Mayo Health Clinic, Alzheimer’s Association or Community Hospice of Northeast Florida 4266 Sunbeam Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32257.
