

RADYMike (Mitch) Rady, 81, was born in Jacksonville on July 29, 1929 and passed away peacefully on July 10, 2011. He was a lifetime member of the Morocco Temple of Florida where he was a founding member of the Spitfires unit, a Worshipful Master of EZRA Lodge, and a member of the Scottish Rites and the Salaam Club of Florida. Mitch served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a true family man and an avid fisherman. Mitch is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Frances (Boogie), 3 daughters Michelle Cronin (Bob), Terri Teigland (Rick), and Robin Devenny (Dan). His pride and joy were his 7 grandchildren: Alexa & Bailey Cronin; Celia & Ethan Teigland; Rady, Brooklyn, & Christopher Devenny. He is also survived by his brothers Sam and Tom (Gladys) Rady, cousin Jay, and many nieces and nephews. Mitch was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Sophie, brother Mose and sister-in-law Julia. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 12, 2011, 6-8 pm, at Corey–Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Mitch’s life will be celebrated Wednesday, July 13, 2011, 11 am, at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral, 256 East Church Street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to The Grand Lodge of Florida Youth Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1020 Jacksonville, FL 32201 in memory of Mike Rady.
